Where and how to take the examen civique, what you are given if you pass, and what the official page does or does not specify.

A centre approved by the Ministry of the Interior
You must register at a centre approved by the Ministry of the Interior. The public service points to two tools for finding a centre: the one from the CCI Paris Île-de-France (CCIP) and the one from France Éducation international. Registration is not done on the formation-civique.interieur.gouv.fr website.
The procedure for approving organisations is set by the order (arrêté) of 20 August 2025, cited by service-public.gouv.fr.
And the price?
The official page does not specify the cost. Since commercial sites give different amounts, the only reliable figure is the one the centre shows at registration, before any payment. Check it with the centre.
On exam day
The centre informs you of the rules before the test. If the rules are not respected, the exam can be cancelled. In case of fraud or attempted fraud, you cannot retake the exam for 2 years.
The certificate of success (attestation de réussite)
If you pass, you receive a certificate, with no expiry date according to the public service. Keep it for your permit or naturalisation application.
Accommodations for medical reasons
If a disability or a health condition requires it, the test can be adapted, for example with extra time. The medical certificate is required. The arrangements are set by the order (arrêté) of 30 December 2025.
